Aardman made wallace and gromit very cleverly by using stop motion clay animation techniques those featuring plastacine characters. I used to love watching wallace and gromit when i was younger but never knew how it was made, i think now i appreciate all the hard work that goes into making it.

The Nightmare Before Christmas

A Nightmare before christmas was also made using stop motion clay animation techniques those featuring plastacine characters. The filmmakers constructed 227 puppets to represent the characters in the movie.

I loved A Nightmare Before Christmas its one of my favourite films its very different to other childhood films that have been released over the years.

Brothers Quay- The Calligrapher

I enjoyed watching this stop motion because its something different and rather creepy, the more you watch the more weird it gets for instance the calligraphers hand starts to create more little hands which start to draw which i thought was strange yet interesting. Also the brothers Quay were commissioned by the BBC to design a tv ident and this is what they came up with but was later rejected.

The Magic Roundabout was created in france by Serge Danot its a childrens television programme. I didnt enjoy watching this stop motion because its not something that would interest me especially as a child. I found it strange but not in a good way like The Brothers Quay the calligrapher

Both of these stop motions were made using puppets.

Any comments or suggestions? I didn’t really get why the pizza was moving about but i found it funny and it kept me entertained. It’s something E4 would use.
