What are E Stings?

E4’s E Stings competiton

An E4 E Sting, is a 10 second clip with the E4 logo which pops up at the end of the advert break right before the prgram  starts.

Each year, E4 holds a competition which film and animation makers countrywide enter. The winner gets £2500 and the runner up gets £500, E4 also then chooses a further 25 E Stings to run on the channel throughout the year.

I am very much a fan of these E Stings, they always look great and are often quite funny. It’s also really good for Channel 4 to be help stude. Here are the winning entries from the last two competitions…

The only rules are that you have to incorporate the logo and it can’t be too rude. Other than that it can be animated, filmed, 2D, 3D or 4D, hi-fi or lo-fi and big budget or no budget.
